We always had dogs growing up, our first a king Charles Cavalier who lived until she was 13 bless her and it broke my heart the day we lost her. I have had a few more of my own since then and nearly 4 years ago I brought Willow home, my first springer spaniel, she is my world and I’m lucky to spend everyday with her now.
I started Lead Walkers about 5 years ago after finding myself unemployed, but my love of dogs and great friends spurred me on and I’m glad I did.
The business has gone from strength to strength and I have a great team working with me.
That’s why I decided to join Becky and the team at Lead Walkers. And I could not ask for a better job! Spending the day walking lots of little happy characters, seeing their waggy tails just fills me with an abundance of happiness. Coming from a family that cannot live without a dog I have grown up always having that special friend by my side. I have my own pup Archie who is my world and quite a challenge being a bright and bouncy lab cross collie he is. I have experience of several puppy/obedience classes and agility training I like to put these to use with a few of the dogs on the walks.
Sadly I only work part-time for Lead Walkers as for the past year I have worked full-time job as the Manager of Community Lettings at a local Academy. Working with a variety of groups, organisations and charities to provide them with the best facility for their needs. Enjoyable and sometimes a stressful job but luckily Lead Walkers keeps my spirits high.
I have a keen interest in health and fitness and last year I qualified as a Gym Instructor, one day I may look into becoming a Sports Therapist.
Love travelling and learning about history, different cultures and their ways of life. Africa so far has been the best experience of my life volunteering for a primary school, helping an orphanage and aids hospice. Memories that will always stay with me.
I've been with Lead Walkers for about 3 months now and it's a great job. Before I started with Becky and the team I worked at Asda on the fish counter, I did enjoy the job but my passion was to work with animals.
I grew up around dogs as my grandad was a police dog handler and my family have always had dogs.
I now have my dream job and I'm very excited to see what the future holds.
